Goal [ Brand Repositioning ]

The goal of this project was to reposition Otherkind Health's brand to resonate more effectively with their target audience. The aim was to create a design strategy that aligns with the serious nature of mental health and workplace culture while ensuring the visuals remain clear, interesting, and easy to follow. The ultimate objective was to craft a brand template that would maintain a consistent look and feel across all materials, making it simple for future content editors to adhere to brand guidelines.

Challenges

The primary challenge was to develop a softer, professional visual style that aligns with the mental health theme without veering into cartoonish or overly abstract imagery, ensuring it felt both realistic and relatable. This repositioning required striking a balance between being approachable while still addressing serious workplace topics, like team building and diversity issues. Furthermore, the brand had to maintain a strong identity through all collateral—workshop presentations, marketing materials, and internal documentation. Ensuring that this new identity could be easily and consistently followed by editors, even those without a design background, was another key challenge, as it was essential to uphold the brand's integrity in future communications.

Result

To meet the brand's needs, a comprehensive repositioning strategy was implemented. This included the redesign of a large volume of workshop presentations, collateral, and marketing materials with a new visual language that reflects the softer, professional tone of the brand. In addition, a robust brand template deck was developed, offering a range of design options to choose from. This template was designed with flexibility and usability in mind, enabling future editors to easily select pre-designed slides and customize the content as needed while ensuring that the brand's visual identity and rules were consistently maintained. This solution provided Otherkind Health with a cohesive, scalable design system that communicates clearly and effectively to their audience, while simplifying content creation for ongoing and future needs.

The introduction of a scheduling calendar for events has improved user engagement, allowing visitors to easily find and plan for upcoming workshops. With a clear and logical content structure, the new design has transformed Otherkind Health's digital presence, making it more aligned with the audience's needs and ensuring a smoother navigation experience that supports brand goals.

Forms and newsletter sign-ups are strategically placed throughout the site to maximize reachability and conversions.
